Walking: compact does not mean effortless

Rajasthan Tourism describes Ghanta Ghar as a start or end point for a heritage walk through the Blue City. That supports walking as part of the visitor experience. It does not prove that every blue lane, fort approach or property route is easy, public, step-free, shaded or comfortable today.

Before walking, check:

• current temperature and sun exposure;
• slope, steps and surface where known;
• traffic and crossing burden;
• water, footwear and shade;
• whether the route passes homes or devotional space;

Taxi or hired car: define the whole agreement
